A lot of potential.
This game has a very good amount of variety in monsters, and you are introduced to them fairly quickly. This game features a gameplay style very similar to pokemon, with a few of its own twists. The art looks great, from the background in battle, to the environment. Battle animations are pretty smooth and can be interesting.
Now for the negatives, the controls could use some work. Getting your character to move can get pretty annoying, as the D-Pad does not feel responsive enough. Also, when in battle, choosing what to attack can be a pain, and you find yourself furiously tapping on an attack until it finally works. Also, several options seem to be missing from the menu such as your account, or sound, etc. that npcs in the beginning tell you you where to find them on the menu. Lastly, it would be nice if the monsters moves had a description of what it does, such as the moves type, and effects.
The game has tons of potential and could become a 5 star with the above fixed. Overall I give four stars, because the negatives do not completely ruin the game, and it is still playable and can be quite fun. The music is actually, very well done and exciting. I will continue to play and hope to see some future updates and more features to be added.
